Terms of Service
Last updated: August 1, 2026
Welcome to VidPlaza.live. By using our platform you agree to these Terms of Service.
Description of Service
VidPlaza is a live video collaboration platform that allows users to join Public Square, create or join groups, go live, upload videos, connect with friends by handler, and interact in real time. The service is currently in beta and provided free of charge for core use.
Onboarding & Getting Started
New users may see a soft welcome that links to this Privacy Policy and these Terms. You may continue without reading every word, but you agree to follow both while using VidPlaza. A separate “Where do you want to start?” step lets you opt into Public Square (with camera on or off), visit the Beta Creators group if you are an active beta user, or explore on your own. You can replay this guide and turn on optional interface hints from Settings → Getting started.
Public Square
Public Square is a shared live area visible to users in that space. Joining is optional. Your camera is off by default unless you enable it. Multi-party video in Square may use third-party real-time infrastructure to deliver streams between participants. You are responsible for what you broadcast and for following these Terms and applicable law while in Square or any group.
Future Pricing & Products Add-on
VidPlaza core features (Square, groups, Video Inbox, and the free 5-minute Go Live save) remain available. Optional paid add-ons are listed in Settings → Products Add-on. Checkout on vidplaza.live uses Stripe live billing when Products Add-on is open — real cards are charged. Sales are final except as required by applicable law.
Add-ons may include session recording tiers, Remove Google AdSense, participant slots, multistream destinations, customized groups, and My Recording Vault. Cart bundle discounts shown in the UI may be preview-only until combined Stripe checkout ships — each product line may be charged at full list price across separate payment steps until then. We reserve the right to introduce subscriptions, bundles, or change pricing with reasonable notice.
Payments (Stripe)
Optional paid features in Settings (such as Save Recording upgrades, extra participant slots, and Remove Google AdSense) are processed by Stripe.
- On vidplaza.live with live billing enabled, real money is charged using live payment credentials. Test cards (for example
4242…) will not complete live checkout. - Internal QA builds may still use Stripe test mode with Stripe’s test card
4242 4242 4242 4242(any future expiry, any CVC). Test-mode entitlements are for development only and may be reset. - Verified purchases may be recorded server-side (for example in Supabase) and reflected in My Active Products.
- Purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law. You must agree to the no-refund notice in checkout before paying.
Beta Phase & Support
During the initial beta period, the platform uses experimental code. For support, feedback, or issues, use in-app feedback in Settings — see In-App Feedback below.
In-App Feedback (Beta & Regular)
Volunteers may submit written feedback and optional screenshots through Settings. Each note includes a timestamp and basic account metadata (such as handler and email when available) so the VidMaster can review submissions and thank contributors when appropriate.
- Beta testers use Settings → Beta Testing → Beta testing feedback (up to 20 notes per day during beta).
- Regular users use Settings → Community & Feedback → Community feedback (up to 5 notes per day during beta).
- Feedback is stored temporarily on VidPlaza servers to support review.
- After the VidMaster exports feedback for offline review and clears the queue, server copies are removed from active storage. Exported copies may be automatically deleted within 24 hours if marked for export before a full clear.
- Submission limits apply during the beta period (including daily caps and screenshot size limits) so the service remains reliable for all testers.
- Do not include passwords, payment details, real names of minors, or other sensitive personal information in feedback notes or screenshots.
Content Retention & Safety Reports
VidPlaza is designed to minimize long-term storage of user-generated content during beta. In general:
- Live sessions and real-time interactions are not permanently recorded unless you choose to save a stage-camera clip to Past Feeds, end a Go Live with a free or paid save, or use another optional recording feature when offered.
- Free stage-camera and free Go Live saves typically expire after a short window (about 24 hours unless a longer product tier or vault applies).
- Uploaded videos and account data remain until you delete them or delete your account, as described elsewhere in these Terms.
- Volunteer feedback (bugs, UX notes, screenshots you choose to attach) is handled through the in-app feedback system above — not the same as a formal safety report.
- If you report serious content or behavior that may violate these Terms or applicable law (outside routine beta feedback), related records may be retained for a limited period, typically up to approximately 45 days, so the VidMaster can review the matter. Retention may be extended only when required by law or an active safety investigation.
- We may remove or restrict access to content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe creates a safety risk, consistent with applicable law.
Retention practices may evolve as VidPlaza moves beyond beta. Material changes will be reflected in updated Terms with a revised “Last updated” date.
Your Content & License
You retain ownership of the videos and content you upload or stream. By using VidPlaza you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and transmit your content solely to operate and improve the service.
Prohibited Content & Conduct
You may not use VidPlaza to:
- Violate any US law
- Upload or stream copyrighted material you do not have rights to
- Harass, threaten, or cause severe harm to others
- Spam or abuse the platform
VidPlaza supports free speech consistent with the laws of the United States. We do not monitor or censor lawful expression.
No Responsibility for User Content
We are not responsible for any content users upload, stream live, or share on the platform. Live interactions are between users. Use at your own risk.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” during beta. We make no warranties. To the fullest extent allowed by US law, VidPlaza and its owner shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of Florida. We are not responsible for compliance with the laws of other countries.
Accounts & Passwords
You are responsible for keeping your password secure. We store passwords in hashed form and never see your plain password.
Beta Access
Beta codes grant early access to certain features. These features and the beta program itself may change or end at any time without notice. Active beta users may see additional information, tools, or groups (such as Beta Creators) that regular users do not. Regular users do not see beta-only onboarding paths.
If you sign up with a valid temporary beta access code, your request is placed in a pending approval queue for the VidMaster. You may need to confirm your email before you can log in. After you confirm and log in once, your request should appear in the VidMaster queue. The VidMaster approves requests and issues a personal VP-XXXX-XXXX code when ready.
While waiting for approval, leave the Beta Access Code field blank at login unless the VidMaster gave you a personal code. Tap Log In once and wait a few seconds for the connection to complete.
The VidMaster may remove inactive beta volunteers from the beta management queue and return them to a regular account with a gentle in-app notice.
Session Recording (Free + Paid Tiers)
Group Mux Go Live sessions (not Public Square two-way video chat) may be saved when you end a broadcast.
- Free: up to 5 minutes per Go Live, available for 24 hours, then deleted permanently.
- Paid upgrades (one-time, next Go Live only): 15 min — $3.99 · 30 min — $5.49 · 45 min — $6.99 · 60 min — $8.49 · Continuity 180 min — $19.99 · Marathon 360 min — $39.99. Paid tiers include longer Mux access windows (7–30 days depending on tier). Payments use Stripe when checkout is enabled.
Recordings are processed by our video partner Mux. Short-term access is through Mux; longer hosting on VidPlaza requires a separate My Recording Vault add-on when offered. Availability depends on platform configuration and your account type.
Session recording purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Past Feeds
Past Feeds lets you save short clips from stage camera or Go Live sessions into a personal library (Settings → Past Feeds / Feeds surfaces) and, where enabled, into communal Square or group libraries. Saves include metadata (space, time, retention window, owner labels).
- Stage camera: When you are on stage with camera on, the app may record a short local clip. You can save or discard it. Saved media may be stored on VidPlaza infrastructure (including a server-side blob store) so the clip can play on vidplaza.live and other devices — not only in the browser that recorded it. Free stage saves typically expire after about 24 hours unless a longer product or vault applies.
- Go Live (Mux): Clips with Mux playback assets may be reviewed in-app when the asset is ready.
- Visibility: Personal libraries, Square communal libraries, and group-shared libraries follow different rules (including admin approval for some member clips in customized groups).
- Video replies: When a clip owner allows video replies, other viewers who can see the clip may post a short video response under that tile (not a private message). Reply visibility matches the parent clip. Clip owners may be notified of new replies; friends tagged on a reply may also be notified. The reply sender or the parent clip owner may delete a reply. Owners control allow/deny via My Feeds / group prefs where offered.
Deleting from your personal library may remove a clip from communal Square views depending on product rules. Past Feeds indexes and short media blobs may be stored on VidPlaza infrastructure (including Supabase) so saves can sync across devices.
On vidplaza.live, Settings → Products Add-on offers product rows and Stripe live checkout when the shop is open. Google AdSense on Feeds and Uploads may still appear for regular users who have not purchased ad-free access.
My Recording Vault (Planned)
My Recording Vault (customer-facing name for long-term recording storage) is a planned paid add-on to keep saved Go Live recordings on VidPlaza after the included Mux access period ends. It is separate from Save Recording tier purchases. Pricing and storage limits will be announced before launch.
Multistream Destinations
Regular accounts include 2 free multistream destinations (for example Facebook, YouTube, or X). Additional destinations are $1.99 per month each (up to 6 destinations total — 2 free plus up to 4 paid extras in Settings → Live & Add-ons). Connect platforms and choose stream targets under Settings → Multistream Destinations. Platform OAuth and live restream billing may be in beta placeholder until announced; paid slot entitlements may be stored locally during beta testing.
Remove Google AdSense (Paid)
Regular users may purchase an optional ad-free experience (currently $7.99 per month, billed as a one-time payment for 30 days of ad-free use until automatic renewal is offered). When active for you personally, partner spotlight advertisements are hidden on Feeds, Uploads, and every space you visit on vidplaza.live.
If a group owner or admin has active Remove AdSense, members in that owner's group do not see ads while that group is the active space. Members who have not purchased ad-free still see ads on Square, Feeds, Uploads, and in groups whose owner has not purchased.
Who never sees ads: the VidMaster and approved beta testers (including beta-eligible accounts) do not see Google AdSense placements regardless of payment.
Ad-free access applies to the account that paid and is stored for that account on the device/browser used at checkout until the paid period ends. Removing ads does not include unlimited live video, cloud storage, or other paid add-ons unless separately purchased.
Remove AdSense purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Participant Slots and Paid Upgrades
Regular users receive a base allocation of 4 live participant slots. Additional slots may be purchased one at a time at $3.99 per slot per month (billed as a one-time payment for 30 days of extra capacity until automatic renewal is offered), up to a maximum of 15 slots. When the paid period ends, your limit returns to the free allocation unless you renew.
VidMaster and Beta Creators accounts have higher default limits (12 slots). Extra participant slots increase real-time video infrastructure use; pricing may change with notice.
All purchases of extra slots are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Customized Groups and Paid Extras
Regular accounts may create up to 3 free customized groups. Additional owned groups are $1.99 per month each (up to 47 paid extras, for 50 owned groups total). Free groups stay open; if a paid extra slot expires, the group locks (hidden from navigation) until you renew in Settings → Products Add-on or transfer ownership. Group owners may optionally lock the group name in Settings → Group Management to prevent renames.
Transfer and takeover: When ownership moves, free versus paid slot type is based on the recipient’s free baseline (how many groups they already own), not the previous owner’s stamp. Example: if you own fewer than three groups and receive a group, it counts as one of your free groups when free room remains. The previous owner’s free count reopens when they own fewer than three again. Paid extras still require an active paid entitlement for the receiving account when they are already at the free limit.
Beta Creators Group
Users who sign up with a valid beta access code are automatically enrolled in the permanent “Beta Creators” group. This group is undeletable and intended for early access and feedback purposes.
- Beta users may leave the group at any time by disabling their Beta status in Settings. Upon doing so, they will be removed from the Beta Creators group and treated as regular users going forward.
- The VidMaster and designated Beta users may have access to view groups and activity for purposes of moderation, support, and legal compliance.
- The VidMaster reserves the right to manage group access and membership for legal, safety, and operational reasons.
- Participation in groups and live sessions is subject to our community guidelines and these Terms of Service.
Friends, Handlers & Search
Each account has a permanent handler (for example @username) used for friend requests and discovery. You may search for other users and public groups from the main navigation. Friend requests and group join requests may appear as pending items until accepted or declined.
Social Login
You may sign in using Google or other services we offer. By doing so you allow us to receive basic profile information from that service.
Account Deletion and Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.
Important:
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
- Once you delete your account, all data, videos, settings, and history associated with your account will be permanently removed.
- The VidMaster and VidPlaza staff cannot recover a deleted account under any circumstances.
- You are solely responsible for confirming your decision before completing account deletion.
By deleting your account, you acknowledge and agree that you will lose access to all content and features associated with your VidPlaza account permanently.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of VidPlaza after changes means you accept the new Terms.
